Since 1985 they have been involved in church leadership and for 25 years (1997-2022) they served at Christchurch Fulham. In 2005 they ran the first Jesus Ministry conference in the UK and since that time have been running a church and developing Jesus Ministry in the UK and abroad. 

For as long as we can remember we have carried a burden for our nation and a deep conviction that we will see a great Move of God take place in the nation in our lifetime. We have experienced a number of visions, dreams and Rhema words from God that have burned within us for many years and which burn within us still.   

In 2019 God spoke to us that it was time to start talking about revival more clearly. This in turn led to a period of seeking God during the lockdown, which in turn led to the awareness that God was asking us to step out of parish ministry and invest more fully into the wider vision to prepare a highway for our God.

We carry two deep convictions that we see at the centre of the role of Project40. The first is to stir faith and vision for Revival so that we, the Church, might prepare well and be ready to ride the tidal wave of God’s Activity when he releases it in His own good timing.

The second is the conviction that the Church of Jesus Christ carries great supernatural identity, authority and anointing and at present we are seeing only a fraction of our potential being realised.  These days are crucial to prepare a supernaturally shaped Church for the awesome supernatural assignment that is set before us - the salvation of a nation.

Project40  is an apostolic expression of Jesus Ministry in the UK as we look ahead and prepare for the Revival of the Church and the Great Awakening of our Nation.

The challenge

Our nation is in a desperate state with only a fraction of the population serving the living God. It is estimated that only 5% of the nation are born again Bible believing Christians, which means that 95% of the nation do not serve the Living God. The spiritual effect of this is huge and as Isaiah the prophet wrote ‘darkness, thick darkness discovers the people.' Isaiah 60:2. Unbelief, idol worship and the rejection of Christ are hallmarks of our day. 

The effect of this darkness on the Church has been like an oil spill from a tanker coating the wings of seabirds. The Church in our nation is clogged with unbelief and a great cleansing and reviving work of the Spirit is needed.

Our vision

We believe the Lord has shown us that a radical revival of the Church in the UK is on its way, and flowing out of this will be an Awakening of the nation.  We believe that this Move of God will not be short or superficial but will be long-lasting and have a deep and transformative effect on the culture and identity of Britain. This is God’s great work and is to His Honour and Glory.

Our Mission

We believe our mission is:

• To empower the local Church, that it might walk in it's supernatural identity and activate the supernatural gifts and weapons that it already carries in the Spirit. The values and teaching found in Jesus Ministry are foundational to this purpose.
• To support Church leaders as they develop a vibrant supernatural culture in the local Church.
• To unleash the anointing of prophets and intercessors to impact the course of the destiny of our nation.
• In inspire faith, vision and understanding for the coming Revival and Great Awakening in our nation.
• To release teaching and ministry that brings wholeness and healing, so that believers are enabled to live whole and healthy lives.

Our Strategy

1. Jesus Ministry Conferences, training events, seminars and workshops that activate the anointing that God's people carry.
2. Restorative ministry for leaders on the front line.
3. Developing resource materials for use in the local Church. 
4. Ministry trips to local churches to invest into lasting change.
5. Activating commando units of prophets and intercessors to wreak havoc on the enemy.
6. Developing relational unity and cooperation between different streams of the Spirit within the wider Church.

We believe God is at work in this nation in many different ways and through many different streams of the Spirit. We do not believe we are more significant, nor more anointed than other streams, but we do believe that we are called to play our part and bring our flavour and our contribution to the great work that is already underway. We are excited and full of anticipation to see what the Lord does in the days ahead. We are daunted by it the challenge but we are also full of hope because through God all things are possible!

In the early years of our walk with the Lord we were taught how to read the Bible, how to hear God’s voice, how to lead someone to Christ and many other essential spiritual skills. We learnt how to be mentally intelligent. We learnt how to be spiritually intelligent. But we knew nothing about emotional intelligence and the churches we were part of for the first 10 years of our faith journey never addressed this or spoke about it. It wasn’t until we were opened up to the teachings and ministry of Leanne Payne that we began to see how broken we were, how we carried the scars and wounds of childhood and how without knowing it we were living out of old wounds and repeating old and broken patterns.

God’s vision for us is to be emotionally healthy, to complement the other forms of intelligence.

Emotional health enables us to love well, to create healthy relationships and work effectively in teams. We need to learn emotional intelligence and pursue a journey towards being healthy people. There is a profound connection between being healthy and being holy.

Above all else guard your heart for out of it comes the energy for life. Proverbs 24:3

It is of supreme importance for us to know our own hearts, to become self aware and to learn how to handle the pain, sorrow, anger and fears that we all experience as we walk through this life.

We are created to hear God's voice as he speaks into our daily lives in many and varied ways. The local Church is created to be a prophetic community who are shaped everyday by the voice of the Lord. Something truly wonderful begins to happen when a local Church develops a prophetic culture because the Lord has greater freedom to act through a people who listen and obey. Acts 2:17-21 

The Deep Challenge

There is a great challenge that comes with all this extraordinary biblical revelation. We all have mindsets and habits that resist the knowledge and expression of our new identity in Christ and which conform to the the natural and religious thinking patterns of the world system. We need to go on being transformed!  We also need a profound spirituality and lifestyle that can see these riches in Christ manifest on a daily basis. This presents a great challenge in our day. The challenge is to be more separate from the way of the world and more consecrated to the Lord. To live more out of step with the world and more in step with the Spirit

The apostle Paul used the phrase 'in Christ' over 300 times and he also describes the riches we have in Christ as unsearchable. It is so exciting to know that we can continue to move into greater and greater dimensions of experience of these riches.

Our Aim

The aim of Project40 is to activate the heavenly riches that the Spirit has already set within the children of God and within the Body of Christ. This means teaching and training that empowers the saints to live the Spirit led life.

Our aim is to draw as little attention as possible to those who do the teaching and training and as much attention as possible to the person of Christ and the ways of the Spirit. 

We seek to grow maturity in God and not dependency on man. 

We want to leave as small a ‘carbon footprint’ as possible so that faith will rest on Christ and His word and not on any person or team.

He is the one we proclaim admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ

Bespoke

We are committed to being led by the Spirit and tailoring every form of ministry to the unique needs of each pastor and church.

Personal Support, Input, and Prophetic Ministry

Every pastor needs encouragement and support through good times and through bad. We want pastors to experience empowering support that is free from institutional control or pressure to conform. Our heart is to be deeply relational. This can include times to chat issues through, share the joys and pains of ministry, pray together and receive prophetic input and warfare prayer when the battle gets tough.

There is the capacity of creating an intentional coaching relationship to help you become the very best leader that you can be.

Preaching and Prophetic Ministry 

Part of our call is to pray, preach and prophecy in such a manner that new doors are opened in the Spirit. This enables Churches to walk into their original design and their unique purpose and calling. This can include Sunday ministry but there are many other opportunities to release this type of ministry throughout the week.

Training

The goal of our training is to practically equip the saints to rise higher in their gifting and anointing.

Living Free training

Running a Living Free Course is very different to going on one. This would be practical training on how to effectively lead it, and we would address such questions as:

Freedom Prayer training

Developing an effective Freedom Prayer team takes time and an intentional strategy. We can help you get started, train your people, come and resource the team from time to time so that it keeps growing in fruitfulness.

Prophets and Intercessors

A Church that wants an effective expression of the supernatural activity of the Kingdom is going to need prophets and intercessors who are united, supported and trained to play their part in advancing the Kingdom. This takes wisdom and a purposeful strategy. Project 40 can help you discern, train and empower these anointed people in your fellowship.

Ministry Trips

We have seen great fruit in developing lasting change when teams come into a local church for 3-5 days. This length of times allows us to:

• Pray extensively for your leadership so they personally experience the teaching and new levels of freedom,
• Support and stand with the church leadership as they think and pray about ways forward,
• Release prophetic intercession,
• Begin to address cultural and generational strongholds over the life of the church,
• Do some teaching and training for key people,
• Embrace the spiritual values and principals embedded in the Living Free Teaching.

Each trip will be prayed into and developed in harmony with the local leadership so that it moves the. Hrs has forward in the direction the Spirit is leading. These extended trips create significant shifts in the spiritual climate and help establish lasting change.

Revival Days

Many believers have heard the term Revival but have a very minimal understanding of what it means. We aim to teach:

• The sustained and remarkable story of revival in the UK over many centuries
• The biblical foundations for Revival
• The activity of God during Revival

• The role of the saints in Revival
• How to pray for Revival
• How to wait for Revival in a way that is sustainable and does not lead to exhaustion or disappointment

Wholeness and Emotional Freedom  

We are committed to investing into the lives of every believer the understanding, the resources and the practical tools to grow in emotional Intelligence and wholeness. True maturity in Christ involves the whole person and the restoration of the soul must include healing for the heart and the capacity to stay emotionally healthy day by day.

Financial Implications

It is our intention to offer the ministry free to local Churches. However we would expect the host church to cover all the expenses incurred by the team and for team members to be hosted by church members for overnight stays. Other than that we would ask the church to prayerfully bless Project40 on the basis of faith, honour and generosity, in line with Paul's teaching in line with Corinthians 9 :6-15.

What is a Ministry Partner?

The Scriptures teach that unity is a powerful spiritual principle. When believers have agreement together towards the plans and purposes of God then Great power is released.

If two or three on earth agree about anything you ask for it will be be done for you by my Father in heaven. Matthew 18:19

A Ministry Partner is someone who has a deep desire to see the ministry of Project40 flourish too the Glory to God, and is prepared to actively agree through prayer, personal and financial support. In Luke 8:2 we see the role of the women who supported Jesus in his ministry. They were his Ministry Partners.

Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

Ministry Partners enter into the blessing of the ministry even if they are not directly involved in the day to day work that is being undertaken.

Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. Matthew 10:41

We see this in action in 1 Kings: 17 when the widow of Zarephath welcomes supports and blesses the prophet Elijah. She enters in to the blessing of provision of the oil and the healing of her son because she stands with Elijah and supports him in practical ways.   

What is required of a Ministry Partner?

1. To be in heartfelt support of Stuart Ceri and the vision of Project40.
2. To pray in faith for Project40 as the Spirit leads and in light of the needs and the plans that are shared.
3. To consider how you might further the aims and vision of Project40 though your own life and areas of influence.
4. To give financially to the work of the ministry through the Stewardship Services giving platform. A Ministry Partner gives regularly and consistently. Please note we do not want Ministry Partners to stop tithing to the local Church in which they are rooted.

There is no minimum or maximum amount for a Ministry Partner to give as each partner is called to give according to their own revelation and by faith. (See 2 Corinthians 9)

How does Project40 bless it's partners?

Partnerships work both ways! Project40 will:

• Release monthly podcasts to the Ministry Partners with teaching / revelation and prophetic insight. We will be sharing what we are learning and hopefully we will all be growing together in the Lord.
• There will be evenings together on zoom for ministry partners to connect with Stuart and Ceri and one another. We will do training and equipping, and facilitate prophetic ministry and prayer.
• We hope to do in-person partners gathering now and again, for food and fun together! Relationship means everything to us and Project 40 will be built on loving God and one another!
• We will welcome partners sharing their prayer needs with us so that we can stand with you for the Lords blessing to flow into your lives.

What Ministry Partnership is not:

1. It is not a substitute for a person being involved in the local Church. Stuart and Ceri will not be your pastors.
2. It is not a place for ongoing pastoral care for partners, or where you find your primary relational support system.
3. It is not a place from which undue influence or control can be exerted on the identity and mission of Project 40. Some people equate financial giving with the right to influence the ministry. All ideas and prophetic words will be gratefully received and weighed but no partner has the right to demand their perspective be adopted.
4. It is not to be seen as a clique of people with a superior call or gifting than any other ministry. We crave a humble yielded group of people who only want God to be glorified!

Britain is ready for a mighty Revival and Great Awakening! The Great moves of God in the 1600’s, 1700’s and 1800,’s changed the course of our history, but they all began when the nation was in a time of great spiritual and moral darkness. We see the darkness around us in the 20^th century but God has not forgotten us!

Revival and Awakening are two distinct but profoundly interconnected supernatural realities.

Revival

Revival is the work of God as He brings fresh fire, purity, authority, love and power to His People bringing. The brings the Church into a higher dimension of the spiritual life that would enable Him to move through His Body, unhindered and bring salvation to the wider society. 

Awakening

Awakening is the activity of God as He moves with sovereign power impacts a village, a region or city and even a whole nation. God’s Spirit brings widescale conviction of sin and conviction of the person of Jesus Christ and faith through his gospel. Awakening brings personal salvation on a large scale which in turn leads to transformation of the values of the wider society.

We are very mindful that prophecy given by Smith Wigglesworth in 1947 is yet to be fulfilled:

When the Word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest move of the Holy Spirit that the nations and indeed the world has ever seen.  It will mark the beginning of a revival that will eclipse anything that has been witnessed within these shores, even the Wesleyan and Welsh revivals of former years. 

The outpouring of God Spirit will flow over from United Kingdom to mainland Europe and from there will begin a missionary move to the ends of the Earth.

The History of Revival and Awakening in the UK

The UK has an extraordinary history of Revival and Awakening since the 1600s. There have been hundreds of Revivals/Awakenings in this nation.

Some of them have been large-scale and national such as the First Great Awakening that impacted the entire nation in the 1700’s. Some of them have been smaller and more local - like the Beddgelert revival of 1834, or the Fisherman’s revival in Lowestoft in 1921. This is to name just a small fraction of the revivals in our land over the last 400 years.

Many Christians will have heard of the term revival and may have heard of the Welsh revival of 1904-06 or perhaps the revival on the Isle of Lewis in the 1950s. But because there has not been a full-scale revival in our nation for 80 years the memory understanding of it has grown dim. We believe there is a great need for faith-filled and Spirit-led teaching on revival in our day to awaken faith and understanding that we might play a part in preparing for the move of God that is to come.

What is the point of looking back to past moves of God?

We believe it is critical to recount and understand the wonderful works of God in our own land and to learn from the past. Understanding that God has moved many many times in Revival and Awakening within our nation strengthens our understanding and our faith that God can, and will do it again in our day.

Lord I have heard of your fame I stand in awe of your deeds, repeat them in our day in our time make them known!

Project40 seeks to honour the history of revival in our country and to honour the Lord who released the mighty awareness of his truth and Presence.

It is as if our nation is a dry riverbed that has had many rivers run through it before and we are now ready for another river of Revival and Awakening to flow through once more.

If we do not have a good understanding of the way God works though Revivals and Awakenings.

• How will we recognise the signs?
• How will we know how to pray?
• How will faith be stirred within us?
• Why will we bother to get ready?

Ignorance of the story of Gods work in our nation will mean we dishonour the past work of God, have little energy to resist the present darkness and succumb to the spirit of defeat and hopelessness so prevalent in the Church today. We have a profound need to delight in the wonderful story of Gods mighty works in our very own nation!

Project40's Role

• We will seek to sow the seeds of faith and understanding for the coming move of God by using teaching that centres on accounts of revival.
• We will unpack the dynamics of Revival and Awakening and what they might mean for us today.
• Praying for faith to arise in the hearts of believers and for vision to be restored.
• Training believers how to wait and watch so that they do not give up.
• Releasing Prophetic intercessors to act as commando units who are preparing the way for revival by strategically damaging the enemies structures and schemes.
